 As a result of the innate tankiness of lancers ，you want to stack HP and damage.
For your weapon, your choice of salivating (mana regen), savage (backcrit), forceful (backcrit), swift (catching up to pesky healers), carving (more crit), and cruel (boosting hits after wallop, which is useful for cleaning up kills).
For you armor, you may choose to use one or both of grieving (mana regen) or resolute (reducing damage below 50% health), and stacking relentless (more hp) in the remaining slots.
On your accessories, you want four griefing zyrks generally. I have seen it argued that you can use the reduced pvp damage zyrks against high burst-damage comps, but I haven't ever seen it used.

The lancer I typically run with for pvp wears:
4x Relentless Cruxes on armor
4x Pristine Griefing Zyrks
1x Carving Crux 1x Savage Crux 1x Forceful Crux and 1x Salivating Crux on the weapon.

 
In equalized areas like solo queue of 3's or Corsair's, your equipment setup won't matter. If you're going to be competitive in Fraywind Canyon or team 3's however, I recommend at least getting Strikeforce Boots and Gloves and +12ing them with proper rolls for Fraywind. Weapon and chest are optional, although for 3's I would run full properly rolled Strikeforce. Some do well with PVE, the Wonderholme chest, and this gives you a skill line specific to a certain move, re-rollable.
