欧服《星球大战OL》测试延期 推出全新客户端约27G
日前，《星球大战OL：旧共和国》官方网站更新，表示将于欧洲进行的邀请测试将会推迟，具体时间并没有公开。欧洲地区社区经理Chris Collins解释道：主要是因为游戏将于本周末推出全新的客户端（大约27G），如果他们按照原定时间邀请玩家，那么一周之后，他们将必须重新下载全新的客户端，这新客户端上线之后，他们有可能清空之前的数据，这对于参与测试的玩家来说，并不是一个很好的回忆。
另外，在法语和德语版本中，已经包含了最新客户端的内容，Bioware承诺在未来的测试中将会邀请更多的欧洲玩家参与，Chris Collins解释说：“虽然只是开始，但是对我们来说同样重要，我们计划在周末的时候将邀请更多的玩家参与到游戏的测试中来，所以，如果你这次没有被邀请的话，请不要失望，因为你还有机会获得邀请函”
It seems that European fans of Star Wars: The Old Republic need to wait a little longer to get their hands on the beta testing as Bioware decided to delay the Game Testing invites for EU players.
In an update on the official forum, EU Community Manager Chris Collins explained a number of reasons given for the delay. Firstly, there is an upcoming major new build of the game with a character wipe and a new client (around 27GB in size) to download. "If we were to invite players en masse today, those players would have to download the entirety of the client to access the game. There's every chance that later this week, the service will go offline and this new version will be rolled out, meaning everyone currently in Testing will have to not only download the entire client again (another 27GB download), but will also have their characters erased and have to start afresh. This is a relatively large amount to download in such a short space of time and not an experience we want new testers to be exposed to." Collins stated.
Secondly, the first localized French and German versions of the game will be included in the new build. At the same time, Bioware does promise that more and more European testers will be invited to the future game testing, "It's also important to remember this is just the beginning. In the future, we'll be inviting more and more testers to the EU Game Testing environments as well as future Game Testing weekends. So even if you're not invited to this next round of testing, there will still be plenty of chances to get involved." Collins said.
