Q: I started as a Necro since I will be leveling solo. Is it a good choice? I normally play healers but I am a bit scared of doing one in a brand new game. Will necro be useful in group situations in the future.
A: Necromancers are a fine choice of solo player.  As for groups: Necromancers are basically pure DPS so that is what you bring. I've seen them do some great damage at top end.

Q:Is there a fair amount of content for the “end game” besides raiding? I’ve done the whole raiding 4 nights a week thing, and I honestly do not think I can do it again. I am hoping for a healthy mix of high end quests, solo content, smaller group content and may be some casual raiding if that even exists. Will I find that sort of variety in EQ2?
 A: Oh yes the end game is full of things to do: more so than any other game I've seen. Quests galore! 
Q: Do guilds recruit newer players? Or do most look for raiding forces?
A: There are loads of guilds who recruit newer players. There are as many guild types out there as playstyles... maybe more. In game menu has a Guild button: open that and you get a list of guilds online that describe their style and who they are recruiting.
Q: Does anyone run lower level content anymore or will I pretty much need to solo till top level?
A: Unfortunately since this game is almost 9 years old there is not a LOT of grouping at lower levels. Fortunately there are a couple of ways to get around this. First, if you have purchased AoD feature pack you can get a mercenary to help you. Second, if you join a guild, especially a progression guild, you will much more likely find groups at lower levels.

Q: Any tips/tricks in general? :) I am making my way through some guides/forums/threads already, but maybe there is something obvious that needs to be pointed out.
