A :Sorc is #1 because a well played sorc has no bad matchups.   It's worst matchups are against Rangers, Godsins (there's basically 1 or 2 per server in NA) and SMs and they're 4-6 at the worst.   It can kill very quickly and has great group CC as well as escape skills, making it one of the best roaming pvpers in 4.0. t has no problems killing songweavers or gunners, which is great because 4.0 is full of them.

Gunner is #2 because it's just super easy to gear up and dominate people with. It can kill people even faster than sorcs and its high attack speed and 2x godstones makes it seem ridiculous at times when RNG procs. It has a few limited escape skills but the fact that you can move while attacking makes it incredibly good against melee classes. It can have some trouble vs good templars, chanters, sorcs, and SMs, but again, those are rare. Even then, random godstone procs can easily turn the battle in your favor. If they're not skilled, you can pretty much just kill them in one chain.
  
Songweaver is #3 because it's a pretty good all around class.   Like the sorc, it can mass CC and burst people down incredibly quickly. It also has decent survival skills, so combined with its good cc it can both chase and run when needed. It doesn't have any particular bad matchups, with some weaknesses against sorc and maybe ranger. 

Ranger is #4 because due to the pvp damage nerf and the higher hp and defense that everyone has at 65, you need to work a bit harder to kill people. However, it has gotten a lot more tools to make it a far more versatile class. It's one of the best roamers with its hide skill 。With low ping and a good L65 weapon you'll still be bursting people down in seconds.
