Mechanist《蒸汽之城》新年新计划:Arkadia
1.(正在进行)30+级内容干旱:由于没有解决此问题的快捷方法,所以工作量无疑是非常巨大的,我们决定把这个需求放到下一个版本。
2.(正在进行)没有足够的互动游戏设定:添加了一些事件, 但由于假期的最后期限,我们的工作很是匆忙,所以造成一些bug和玩家的不适感。吸取了教训!几个事件在PvP中大不相同,以获适合未来系统的结果。更多的功能特点仍在继续,我们会在下次的更新中发布。
3.(接近完成)业余vs专家设置:我们对游戏开始部分做了修改,加入玩家想要的东西;更新游戏设置,提升高和低规格的机器以及业余和专业的玩家。这对新手玩家来说很有意义,并在假期期间,真正的证明了真自己。
4.(接近完成) Company 限制:我们犯了错误, 在需要遵守MMO条约的地方独树一帜。经过一些反思与修改之后, Company系统已可以使用。
5.(正在进行) Company 战争:Company战争的内容未能满足我们对这一概念赋予的初始要求——基本上,它成为了由个别强大的英雄控制的PvP噩梦。对大多数人来说, 面对着无情的领袖压根就没有获胜的希望, 意味着大多数的胜利都是不战而胜。它不支持队战。所以,我们知道, 这也是爱下一个版本中不得不改变的计划。

6.(已解决)费用和免费的平衡:这是个敏感的话题, 收费与免费的平衡进一步远离亚洲市场的权力差异。降低收费已惹怒了部分已付费玩家,但大多数免费玩家没有置评。在尽量使装备和装扮物属性平衡的同时,其他系统添加了高级选项,所以总体感觉没有变化。就这一方面,2014年我们将设做得更好, 并希望在不冒犯所有人的经济观点的前提下,保持竞争力。

Mechanist’s New Year’s Resolution for City of Steam: Arkadia!
 
    1.    [IN-PROGRESS] Level 30+ Content Drought: Since there was no immediate solve for this and the workload would no doubt be quite huge, we decided to push this requirement out to the next big version.
    2.    [IN- PROGRESS] Not Enough Interactive Gameplay: Some events were added, but in our haste to finish before the holiday deadline it caused a few bugs and player discomfort. Lesson learned! Several events were variations on PvP to gather results on what was going to work well for future systems. Ongoing bigger feature development is still happening for the next big update
    3.    [CLOSED] Casual vs. Hardcore Settings: We modified the beginning of the game to include player preferences and updated the game settings to facilitate high and low spec machines as well as casual and hardcore players. This made a big difference to virgin audiences and really helped the game sustain itself over the holidays.

    4.    [CLOSED] Company Limitations: We made mistakes here, trying to innovate where we probably should have gone with established MMO conventions. After some facepalming and hotfixing, the company system became acceptable to use.

    5.    [IN-PROGRESS] Company War: The company war content failed to meet the requirements of the initial concept –it basically became a PvP nightmare dominated by a few powerful demigods. And for most people, facing off against merciless leader-boarders with no hope of winning meant that most victories were the result of absenteeism, not competition. It didn’t support group gameplay. So, we knew that this also had to change and scheduled this for the next big version
    6.    [RESOLVED] Balance of Premium vs Free: Ever a touchy subject, the balance of the premium vs free was moved yet further away from the Asian market’s power difference. Toning premium features down angered some paying players, but went without comment for most free players. But while we did even out the equipment and cosmetic stats, other systems had premium options added so overall impressions didn’t change. We’ll try to do better on this front in 2014, and hope to preserve competition without offending anyone’s economic views.

    7.    [CLOSED] World Lore, Story, Fiction, Art: Re-designing some of the art assets was generally a good thing for the overall aesthetic appeal of the game. But then again, some of the crazier things like golden egg smashing, were just too funny and addictive so we couldn’t bring ourselves to replace them. I think we can all understand that MMOs are fairly serious games so need a bit of light relief here and there. Wings will very soon be removed.
