I had a lot of fun reviewing Black Gold. It has plenty good going for it, and some ok things going, and some scary things going too. But the main reason for that is a lot exist in the game to speak on. This game shares a lot of system from Age of Wushu.


For starters, Path of Warrior is a streamlined version of Wandering Jianghu. This makes me wonder why they didn't do that in that game too. Also this game rewards you for playing well and extensively. So button masher and face rolling isn't the best way to go. Also you have to point most skills. No auto attacking cheese especially on melee classes. That brings a certain level of skill to play.

Skills don't auto home in. So it takes a bit of practice to get used to. Most people are using range characters because of that. And mainly complaints on melee being too hard exist now. I got used to it, I'm not going to say it's not a bit daunting. But once you get used to it, you'll be fine.
